Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah,

My name is Kulsum Fatma, and I am currently pursuing my M. Pharm in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry from SPER, Jamia Hamdard University, Delhi (Enrollment No. 2023-521-003). This is a two-year postgraduate course, and I’m now in my final year working on my dissertation at the Centre of Excellence in Unani Medicine under Prof. (Dr.) Sayeed Ahmad.

I belong to a financially struggling family. My father is a small shopkeeper earning barely ₹7,000/month, much of which goes towards my mother’s medical treatment. I also have two younger siblings who had to discontinue their studies due to a lack of funds.

I got married hoping for better support, but unfortunately, I am now separated from my husband and living again with my parents. Despite my father already being in debt—due to wedding expenses and supporting my education—he has managed to pay fees for my first three semesters by borrowing from friends and relatives. Now, we are completely exhausted of financial resources.

📚 Academic Achievements & Aspirations

I have actively participated in 15+ national/international seminars, presented 2 scientific posters, co-authored a book chapter on Triphala, and am currently working on research articles related to Unani formulations. I also serve as a disciplinarian in charge at my hostel and coordinate various academic and cultural events.

I am deeply passionate about natural product-based research and aspire to build my research lab one day. I’m also preparing for CSIR-NET/JRF to pursue a Ph.D. and contribute meaningfully to the healthcare system.

💸 Why I Need Your Help

Currently, I urgently need to pay my semester tuition fee of ₹1,05,000, as the deadline for the examination form is approaching. We’ve tried multiple options—bank loans, scholarships, charitable foundations—but have faced either rejections or fraud. I was referred to IndiaZakat by Mr. Rahul Parakh (CEO, FORSTU EDUTECH LLP), and I’m reaching out with hope.

Though I am not an orphan or from an extremely poor background, our financial condition has deteriorated badly post-COVID, and I am now on the verge of discontinuing my education.
