My name is Syed Ahmed, and I work as an auto driver in Chennai. I live with my family in a rented house, we are six members in total, and I am the only earning person in the family.

For years, I have been driving a rental auto to manage our basic needs. However, for the past few months, my wife has been suffering from a severe case of tuberculosis (TB). She recently underwent a surgery on her neck to remove a wound, and I have to take her frequently to Velachery Hospital for treatment and follow-ups.

Due to this, I am unable to drive regularly, and my daily income has dropped drastically. The owner of the auto I rent is now refusing to let me continue since I’m unable to pay the daily rent on time.

At this difficult stage, owning my own auto would change everything, it would allow me to earn consistently, take care of my wife’s medical needs, and manage our family’s day-to-day expenses with dignity.

As I belong to a Syed family, I am not eligible for Zakat assistance, but I am humbly appealing for your kind support and donations to help me buy a new auto for my livelihood.
