Sister Jameela Begum is a dignified, soft-spoken, and deen-dar woman who has always lived her life with patience and gratitude. Today she stands at a difficult crossroads. Her husband has become severely ill and is no longer able to work or earn for the family.

With a young daughter to look after and daily household expenses increasing, Jameela Begum is struggling to keep the home running. Yet, despite the hardship, she refuses to beg or extend her hands before anyone.

Her only wish is to earn a halal livelihood through her own hard work.
She wants to start a small kirana (grocery) shop near her home,  a way through which she can provide meals for her family and fulfill her daughter’s basic needs with dignity.

Today, she turns to the Ummah, not for charity in the form of handouts, but for support in standing on her own feet.

We humbly request you to help Sister Jameela through India Zakat, so she can set up her small business and rebuild her life with respect and stability.
