Sister Anam Firoz Shaikh has been suffering from end-stage renal failure for the past 10 months. During this painful period, she has been dependent on regular dialysis, but her condition has now worsened to such an extent that dialysis is no longer effective. Doctors have clearly advised that a kidney transplant is the only life-saving option for her.

Sister Anam belongs to a financially weak family. Her father is the sole earning member, working in a small office on a contractual, non-permanent job with a very meagre income. His earnings are barely enough to manage daily household expenses, making it impossible for the family to afford such a major medical procedure.

Despite their hardships, the family has tried everything within their capacity. They have borrowed money from relatives and well-wishers just to arrange the initial advance for hospital admission, yet Sister Anam is still not admitted due to a severe shortage of funds.

In an act of immense sacrifice and love, her father has agreed to donate his own kidney to save his daughter’s life. According to the medical estimate provided by Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai, the total tentative cost of the kidney transplant is approximately ₹13,00,000, which includes surgery, hospitalization, donor evaluation, and post-transplant medicines.
