My name is Mumtaz, and I come from a very poor family. My husband works as a two-wheeler mechanic, but he recently lost his small shop and is struggling every day to find work. With very limited income, it has become difficult for us to even manage our basic needs.

My child was born unable to hear. Because of this, there is a serious delay in speech and language development. As parents, it breaks our hearts that our child cannot hear our voices, cannot respond when we call, and cannot speak like other children.

We tried our best to get treatment in government hospitals, but due to our poverty, we were unable to afford the surgery and hearing aids required. Our situation left us helpless and worried about our child’s future.

Alhamdulillah, Team IndiaZakat physically verified our case and also spoke directly with the doctor. They negotiated and arranged a good-quality hearing implant at a reduced cost, giving us hope that our child can finally hear and learn to speak.
