Naseem Shah is a daily wage laborer from Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, who works very hard every day just to earn enough for basic survival. He earns around ₹300 per day, and whatever he earns is used to feed his family. Life has always been difficult for him, but the illness of his wife has made his situation even more painful and challenging.

For the past 5 to 6 years, Naseem’s wife has been suffering from severe health problems related to her hip. Due to this condition, she experiences constant pain and is unable to walk or even stand properly. Many days she cannot get up from bed, and this has deeply affected the family’s life. Seeing his wife suffer every day has become a heartbreaking reality for Naseem.

After medical examination, doctors have advised that she urgently needs a Total Hip Replacement Surgery to relieve her pain and help her walk again. The surgery itself will be performed under the Ayushman Card scheme, which covers the major hospital procedure. However, the family still needs to arrange money for essential medicines, tests, X-rays, and other medical expenses that are not covered under the scheme.

For Naseem, arranging these expenses has become nearly impossible. With his small daily income, he is already struggling to provide food and necessities. Even managing the cost of regular medicines has become extremely difficult. Naseem shares that sometimes he does not even have enough money to pay for basic medical tests like X-rays, which are necessary before the surgery.

Doctors have also informed the family that one surgery will be done now and another may be required after six months, making the financial burden even heavier. Despite working tirelessly every day, Naseem feels helpless because he simply cannot afford the additional medical costs needed for his wife’s treatment.
